ADULTERY
Matthew 5 : 27 - 32
Ye have heard that it
was said by them of old time, thou shall not commit adultery: But I say unto
you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after he hath committed adultery
with her already in his heart. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out,
and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members
should perish, and not taht thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy
right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee, for it is profitable
for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not taht thy whole body
should be cast into hell. It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife,
saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery, and
whosoever shall marry her taht is divorced committeth adultery.
1 Corinthians 6 :
9-11
Know ye not that the
unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? be not deceived: neither
fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of
themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor
revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were
some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, butye are justified in
the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the spirit of our God.
ANGER
Matthew 5 : 22-24
But I say unto you,
That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of
the judgment, and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger
of the council, but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell
fire. Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there remmemberest
that thy brother hath ought againts thee, Leave there thy gift before the
altar, and go thy way, first be recounciled to thy brother, and then come and
offer thy gift.
CONCEIT
Luke 18 : 9-14
And he spake this
parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and
despised others: Two men up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee, and
the other a publican. the Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I
thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers,
or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all taht I
possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his
eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a
sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the
other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased, and that humbleth
himself shall be exalteth.
CONFIDENCE, FALSE
Matthew 7 : 24-27
therefore whosoever
haereth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise
man, which built his house upon a rock. And the rain descended, and the floods
came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not, for it was
founded upon a rock. And every one taht heareth these sayings of mine, and
doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon
the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and
beat upon that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.
COVETOUSNESS
Mark 7 : 21-23
For from within, out
of the heart of men, procced evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviouness, an evil eye,
blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and
defile the man.
CRIME
Matthew 15 : 17-20
do not ye yet
understand, taht whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and
is cast out into the draught? But those things which procced out of the mouth
come forth from the heart, and they defile the man. For otu of the heart
procced evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, theftsfalse witness,
blasphemies. These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashen
hands defileth not a man.
DEATH
John 11 : 25,26
Jesus said unto her,
I am the resurrection, and the life, he that believeth in me, though he were
dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never
die. Believest thou this ?
DEPRAVITY
John 3 : 19-21
And this is the
codemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather
than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth
the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But
he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest,
that they are wrought in God.
DOUBT
Matthew 14 : 28-31
And Peter answered
him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he
said, Come. And when Peter was come down otu of the ship, he walked on the
water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he aws afraid, and
begining to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately jesus
stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little
faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
DRUNKENESS
Luke 21 : 34-36
And take heed to
yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and
drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
For as a snare shall it come on all them taht dwell on the face of the whole
earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to
escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before The Son of
man.
ENEMIES
Matthew 5 : 43-48
ye heard that it hath
been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto
you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate
you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you, that ye
may be the children of your father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to
rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the
unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even
the publicans the same. And if ye salute your brethen only, what do ye more
than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as
your father which is in heaven is perfect.
EXTRAVAGANCE
1 Timothy 6 : 7-12
For we brought
nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having
food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they taht will be rich fall
into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which
drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of
all evil, which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and
pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee
these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience,
meekness. fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto
thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many
witneness.
